Uses / Indications:

Carrol Tablet is used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It is used to treat symptoms of PCOS such as excessive hair growth (hirsutism), acne and irregular menstrual cycle (periods).

Pregnancy interaction:

Carrol Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.

Do not use additional hormonal contraceptives when taking Cyproterone+Ethinyl Estradiol. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

How to use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Carrol Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it preferably after the evening meal or at bed time.

How it works:

Carrol Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines: Cyproterone and Ethinyl Estradiol which treat PCOS symptoms such as acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism) and irregular menstrual cycle (periods). Cyproterone works by blocking the overproduction of androgens (male hormones) in the ovaries thereby reducing unwanted hair growth and acne. Ethinyl Estradiol enhances the effect of Cyproterone by reducing the amount of androgens in the blood circulation. Together, they also regularize the menstrual cycle in PCOS.
