Pregnancy Interaction
- Not safe to use during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters.
- Telmisartan (ARB) can lead to diminished amniotic fluid, renal impairment in the fetus, growth limitation, and, in severe instances, fetal demise.
- Hydrochlorothiazide may lower blood flow to the placenta and throw off the balance of electrolytes in the mother and fetus.
