- Impetigo
- Furunculosis (boils)
- Folliculitis (hair follicles that are infected)
- Cuts, wounds, and abrasions that are infected
- Secondary skin diseases caused by bacteria
- It helps the skin heal faster and lessens redness, edema, and infection.
How It Works
Mupirocin, a topical antibiotic, is included in T-MUCE ointment.
It works by stopping bacteria from making proteins, which stops them from growing and spreading. This process helps get rid of the microorganisms that cause infections on the skin.
How to Use
- Only for use on the outside
- Before putting it on, clean and dry the region that is affected.
- Put a thin layer of the ointment on the skin that is hurting.
- Use it two to three times a day or as your doctor tells you to.
- Before and after putting it on, wash your hands.
- Don't let it touch your eyes, mouth, nose, or mucous membranes.
- Don't cover it with tight bandages unless your doctor says to.
Side effects

- Itching
- Redness
- Dryness or discomfort where the medicine was put on
- Side effects that don't happen very often:
- Rash, swelling, or intense itching are all signs of an allergic reaction on the skin.
- Stop using it and see a doctor if the irritation gets worse or you have allergy symptoms.
Pregnancy interaction
- People typically think that T-MUCE ointment is safe to apply on the skin during pregnancy.
- Only use it if your doctor tells you to.
- Don't use it for long periods of time or on vast areas of skin unless your doctor says it's okay.
Medicines interaction
- Because it is a topical treatment, it is unlikely to have major drug interactions.
- Unless your doctor tells you to, don't use additional topical treatments on the same region.
- Tell your doctor about any additional skin care products or treatments you are using.
Expert advice
- To stop antibiotic resistance, use exactly as directed.
- Do not use for skin problems that are not infectious, such as fungal or viral infections.
- Even if your symptoms get better quickly, you should finish the whole course.
- If you don't feel better in 3 to 5 days, see a doctor.
- Don't use it for a long time if you don't need to.
