Description:
Pregnancy interaction
- Not recommended during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed by a dermatologist.
- Tretinoin (a type of retinoid) could be dangerous, even though it's not very well absorbed through the skin. Pregnant women should stay away from retinoids in general.
- Mometasone (a topical steroid) also has poor safety data for pregnant women; don't use it for long periods of time or on broad areas.
- Stop using the cream right away if you get pregnant and call your doctor.
- Don't use it on your breasts while you are breastfeeding; there isn't enough safety evidence for the whole body.
FAQs for Medicine?
Q1: What does Marksrub-Ultra Cream do?
It is used to make dark spots, melasma, freckles, and uneven skin tone lighter.
Q2. How long does it take to see results?
Results normally show up in 4 to 8 weeks, although this depends on how bad the pigmentation is and what type of skin you have.
Q3. Can I use it every day?
Use once a day, generally at night, or as your dermatologist tells you to. Too much use makes it more irritating.
Q4: Is it okay to use this lotion with sunscreen?
Yes, you have to use sunscreen. Being in the sun can make pigmentation and irritation worse.
Q5: Can I put on makeup after using it?
Yes, once the cream has completely soaked in. Use sunscreen and cosmetics during the day, and stay away from harsh items.
Q6. Is it safe to use for a long time?
No. You shouldn't use it for more than 6 to 8 weeks in a row unless your doctor says it's okay.
Q7: Is it okay to apply on skin that is damaged or irritated?
No, don't use it on cuts, wounds, or skin that is infected or inflamed.
Expert advice
- Only use at night. In the morning, wash your face and put on broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+).
- Only use it on the spots that are afflicted; don't put it on big regions.
- Do not use with peels, scrubs, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or other powerful exfoliants because they can make irritation worse.
- If you get really red, burn, swell, or peel, stop right away and see a dermatologist.
- This is a medicinal cream with three different types of medicine in it. Don't use it for cosmetic purposes.
- Don't give it to kids unless a doctor says it's okay.
Side Effects
- A little bit of burning or stinging
- Irritation or redness
- Peeling and dryness
- More sensitive to sunlight
- Darkening for a short time before getting better
- Skin thinning (after long-term or excessive usage of steroids)
Serious but not very common:
- Severe swelling or irritation
- Erythema that doesn't go away
- Uneven skin tone or hypopigmentation
- Effects of long-term steroid use
How it works
- Hydroquinone (a substance that removes pigment)
- Stops tyrosinase from working, which lowers melanin formation and lightens dark patches.
- Retinoid Tretinoin
- Increases the turnover of skin cells, removes pigmented cells, and helps hydroquinone get deeper into the skin.
- Mometasone Furoate (a kind of corticosteroid)
- Lessens redness, itching, irritation, and inflammation caused by the coloring process or other active substances.
- This combo works better and faster than single-agent therapy to lighten skin.
Medicines interaction
- Other retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, AHAs/BHAs, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid can all make skin feel bad.
- Harsh makeup, perfumes, aftershaves, or anything that contains alcohol.
- Don't mix with other steroid creams unless your doctor tells you to.
- Too much sunshine or UV rays can make you more likely to get burns and dark spots.
- There aren't many systemic drug interactions because the drugs don't get absorbed very well, but you should always tell your doctor if you're taking strong oral medications that impact your skin.
How to Use
- Wash the area and then gently pat it dry.
- Only put a pea-sized amount on the pigmented patches, not the whole face.
- Unless told to do so, use once a day at night.
- Stay away from the corners of the lips, the area around the eyes, and the inside of the nose.
- After applying, wash your hands.
- Before going outside in the morning, wash your face and put on sunscreen.
- Do not put on skin that is broken, cut, irritated, or infected.
