 How it works

• This medication is made up of two more drugs:
• Piperacillin
• An antibiotic penicillin that works on a wide range of bacteria

• Tazobactam

• Stops bacterial enzymes from breaking down piperacillin
• They work better together against bacteria that are resistant to treatment, such as gram-positive, gram-negative, and anaerobic species.
