- If you see any of the following, report it right away:
- Bleeding or bruising that isn't normal
- Skin that is pale and tired
- Numbness or tingling (neuropathy)
- Problems with vision
- Don't use it if you recently took MAO inhibitors (antidepressants).
- For extended therapy, you may need to check your blood count regularly.
- Don't take linezolid until you have to, because you might become resistant to it.

How It Works
- Linezolid stops bacteria from making proteins by blocking the 23S ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit.
- It stops most bacteria from growing, but it kills some kinds.
- Works well against resistant gram-positive infections like MRSA and VRE.

- MAO inhibitors (in the last 14 days)
- SSRIs and SNRIs are antidepressants that can cause serotonin syndrome.

Other Interactions:
- Foods high in tyramine (such as aged cheese, pickles, and wine) can provoke a hypertensive crisis.
- Rifampicin lowers the levels of linezolid.
- Insulin and antidiabetics may lower blood sugar levels.
- Blood thinners raise the risk of bleeding.
- Always tell your doctor about all the drugs you are taking.
How to Use
- VOXYLID TABLET is usually given in doses of 600 mg once or twice a day, depending on how bad the infection is.
- Every day, take it at the same time.
- You can take it with or without food.
- Continue for the whole course, which normally lasts 10 to 14 days but may last longer if the infection is severe.
- Don't skip doses or quit early.
- Take it all in with water.

- Pneumonia (acquired in the community and in the hospital)
- Infections affecting the skin and soft tissue
- Infections of the foot in people with diabetes
- Infections with MRSA
- Infections with VRE (Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci)
- Bacteremia due to resistant gram-positive organisms
- Infections of the bones and joints (in some situations)
