It helps with symptoms of seasonal and persistent allergic rhinitis, like sneezing, a stuffy nose, itchy/watery eyes, and a runny nose.

When your doctor tells you to take it, it might help with allergic asthma or breathing problems that happen when you exercise. It is not for sudden asthma episodes.
Q3. Will Vitaresp FX make me tired?
Fexofenadine is an antihistamine that doesn't make you sleepy, but some people may feel a little sleepy or dizzy.
Q4. How long does it take to start working?
Most of the time, allergy relief starts within 1 to 2 hours and lasts for up to 24 hours.
Q5: Is it okay for me to take it every day?
Yes, your doctor will probably tell you to take it once a day, at the same time each day.
Expert advice
- Take the tablet once a day as directed, ideally in the evening or right before bed.
- Stay away from grapefruit, orange, or apple juice since these can make it harder for fexofenadine to be absorbed.
- If you feel dizzy or sleepy, don't drive or use heavy machinery.
- Stay away from alcohol because it can make adverse effects like sleepiness or dizziness worse.
- Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney problems, or a history of mental illness (since montelukast can affect mood in rare cases).
- To get the most out of it, keep using it regularly during allergy season. Don't quit suddenly without talking to your doctor first.
Side Effects
- Pain in the head
- Sleepiness or lightheadedness
- Nausea or stomach pain
- Mouth that is dry
- Tiredness
- Less Common/More Serious Side Effects:
- Unusual liver function (rare)
- Fast heartbeat or palpitations
- Changes in mood, anxiety, or trouble sleeping (rare, because of Montelukast)
- Rash or swelling of the lips or face due to an allergy
- If you have trouble breathing, a tight chest, a severe allergic response, or mood swings that don't go away, get medical care right away.
How It Works
Fexofenadine (120 mg)
- Stops histamine from causing symptoms, including sneezing, itching, and watery eyes, by blocking the H1 histamine receptors.
- Gives long-lasting relief without making you very sleepy.
- 10 mg of Montelukast
- It stops leukotrienes, which are substances that induce swelling in the airways and mucus formation during allergic reactions.
- Helps keep your nose from being stuffy, inflamed, and hard to breathe because of allergies.
- They work together to ease allergy symptoms right away and later on, making it easier to breathe overall.
Medicines interaction
- Antacids (with aluminum or magnesium hydroxide) can make it harder for the body to absorb fexofenadine; take them 2 hours apart.
- CYP enzyme inducers, such as rifampicin and phenytoin, may make montelukast less effective.
- CYP inhibitors (such as ketoconazole and erythromycin) may raise the levels of montelukast.
- Avoid grapefruit or fruit juices since they make fexofenadine less effective.
- Alcohol or sedatives make you sleepier.
- Always tell your doctor about all the medications you take before you use them.
How to Use
- Take one tablet every day, preferably at night or when your doctor tells you to.
- Do not crush or chew; just swallow whole with a glass of water.
- You can take it with or without food, but you have to do it at the same time every day.
- Take your dose as soon as you remember if you forget. If it's almost time for the next dose, skip it. Don't take two doses.
- Even if your symptoms get better quickly, you should keep taking the medicine for the full amount of time suggested.
