• Torasemide 5 mg Tablet is used to treat:
• Heart failure can cause fluid retention (edema).
• High blood pressure (hypertension)

• Excess fluid might make your legs, ankles, or lungs swell.

 How It Works

• Torasemide is a water tablet that works by making you urinate more often.
• It helps the kidneys get rid of extra salt and water through urine.
• Keeps tissues from getting too much fluid
• Lowers blood pressure and makes the heart work less hard.

 How to Use

• Take the tablet once a day, in the morning if possible.
• You can take it with or without food.
• Take it all in with water.
• Don't take it at night if you want to avoid having to pee a lot.
• Take the amount your doctor tells you to.

Side Effects

• Some common side effects are:
• More frequent urination
• Dizziness or feeling lightheaded
• Low blood pressure
• Pain in the head
• Not enough water
• Cramps in the muscles
• Less common yet dangerous adverse effects:
• Low amounts of potassium or sodium
• Changes in how the kidneys work
• Heart that beats irregularly
