How to use:

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How it works:

Terbicad Ointment is a combination of four medicines: Clobetasol Topical, Ofloxacin Topical, Ornidazole Topical and Terbinafine Topical which treat skin infections. Clobetasol Topical is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Ofloxacin Topical is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ornidazole Topical is also an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Terbinafine Topical is an antifungal. It stops the growth of fungus by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.
