Medicine Interaction
- Topical tacrolimus has very little systemic absorption, but:
- Do not use with:
- Topical steroids at the same spot (unless a doctor says it's okay)
- Skin care products that contain alcohol (make skin more sensitive)
- Phototherapy (UV treatment) makes you more sensitive.
- Retinoids, AHA/BHA, and salicylic acid are all things that can irritate the skin.
- No major medication interactions inside.
How to Use
- Get the area clean and dry.
- Put on a thin layer of Tacrovera 0.03% Ointment.
- Use as directed, either twice a day (morning and night) or as directed.
- Keep going until your symptoms get better. Then, your doctor may switch to maintenance therapy (2–3 times a week).
- After applying, wash your hands (unless you put it on your hands).
- Don't touch your eyes or lips.
