Roxinta 150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

Roxinta 150mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Expert advice:
Roxinta will cure your infection and improve symptoms. It may cause an upset stomach. If this happens to you, take it with food. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Roxinta.

How it works:
Roxinta 150mg Tablet is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Is Roxinta an antibiotic? : Roxinta is an antibiotic and belongs to the group of antibiotics known as macrolides. Roxinta prevents bacteria from growing, by interfering with their protein synthesis. |Can I take Roxinta with food? : Roxinta is to be taken on an empty stomach at least 15 minutes before a meal. The Roxinta tablets should be taken with good amount of water. |Does Roxinta treat streptococcal throat infection? : Roxinta is used to treat throat infection caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. It is also indicated for other upper respiratory tract infections like tonsillitis and sinusitis. If you think you are suffering from a streptococcal throat infection, please consult your doctor as it requires proper diagnosis before the start of antibiotics.|Can I take Roxinta with codeine? : Roxinta can be taken with codeine. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, this does not mean that interactions cannot occur. However, dizziness may occur when you have just started taking Roxinta.
