Description:
Pregnancy interaction
- Be careful when taking Rekool 40-L Tablet SR when pregnant.
- Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, doesn't have a lot of human data, although it is usually thought to have low risk when given with care.
- Levosulpiride (an antipsychotic and prokinetic drug) should not be taken during pregnancy unless a doctor specifically says so, because animal studies reveal that it could be harmful to the fetus.
- Do not breastfeed while using levosulpiride because it can go into breast milk and hurt the infant.
- If you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding, you should always talk to your doctor before taking Rekool 40-L.

Expert advice
- You should take this drug 30 minutes before meals, ideally in the morning.
- Acid reflux is worse when you eat spicy meals, drink caffeine, drink alcohol, or smoke.
- Don't crush or chew the tablet; just consume it whole with water.
- If you have liver disease, mental health problems, or breast cancer, tell your doctor. Levosulpiride may raise prolactin levels.
- Long-term use should be watched for signs of vitamin B12 or magnesium shortage (which can happen with Rabeprazole).
- Do not use additional drugs that lower acid levels unless your doctor tells you to.

- If you have any of these extreme side effects, get medical help right away.
How It Works
- There are two active components in the Rekool 40-L Tablet SR:
- Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that stops the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme in stomach lining cells from working. This lowers the amount of acid that the stomach makes and stops ulcers and acid reflux.
- Levosulpiride is a drug that blocks dopamine D₂ receptors and makes the gastrointestinal tract move more (prokinetic action). It makes the stomach and intestines move more, which speeds up gastric emptying and lessens symptoms like bloating, nausea, and reflux.
- Together, they help in two ways: they lower acid levels and make the stomach move better.
Medicine interaction
- Rekool 40-L Tablet SR could have an effect on:
- Antidepressants and antipsychotics may make the negative effects of levosulpiride worse.
- Antacids or other PPIs/H₂ blockers may make rabeprazole less effective.
- Digoxin, ketoconazole, and itraconazole may not be absorbed as well if the pH of the stomach changes.
- Levodopa may lessen the effects of levosulpiride.
- Warfarin or methotrexate may make the risk of toxicity higher.
- Before starting Rekool 40-L, make sure to tell your doctor about all the medications and supplements you are currently using.
How to Use
- Take one tablet every day, preferably before breakfast or your first meal.
