Uses / Indications:

PROPCAINE EYE DROP is used for Eye anesthesia.

Pregnancy interaction:

PROPCAINE EYE DROP may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Propcaine is commonly used to anesthetize the eye before cataract surgery or any other surgery in the eye. Usually 1-2 drops are sufficient to anesthetize the eye. Effect of Propcaine lasts for up to half an hour.
