There is not much data on humans, but studies on animals show that interfering with bone metabolism could hurt the developing infant.
You should only use it if the possible benefit outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.
If you are pregnant or wanting to get pregnant, you should always talk to your doctor before using it.
Breastfeeding: Alendronic acid may go into breast milk in very small amounts. Don't use when breastfeeding because it could slow down bone growth in babies.

How it works:
Alendronic Acid is the active ingredient in Osteofos 70 mg. It works by sticking to the surface of bones and stopping osteoclasts from breaking them down.
This process:
Stops bones from losing strength
Increases the density of minerals in bones
Makes the bones stronger
Lessens the chance of breaking bones in the wrist, hip, and spine
It helps keep bones strong, especially in older people and women who have gone through menopause.

Aspirin: Could make gastrointestinal side effects worse.
Corticosteroids (like Prednisolone) raise the chance of problems with the jaw bone.
