Olyster 1mg Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Pregnancy interaction:
Olyster 1mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Expert advice:
Dizziness or fainting may occur, especially when rising from a lying or sitting position. Getting up slowly may help improve the problem. These effects may get aggravated by consuming alcohol during exercise, in hot weather, or when standing for long durations. May affect your eye muscles; this should be harmless unless you are scheduled for a cataract surgery.

How to use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Olyster 1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How it works:
Olyster 1mg Tablet is an alpha-blocker. It lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate, which makes it easier to urinate.

However is not known to cause impotence. It may rarely cause painful prolonged erections (Priapism), which if untreated may cause impotence|Can I take Olyster with Cialis (tadalafil)? : Please follow your doctor's advice before taking these medications with Olyster. As combining Cialis (tadalafil) with Olyster can lower your blood pressure and increase the risk of dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, flushing, headache, and nasal congestion|Can I take Olyster with Flomax (tamsulosin)? : Olyster and Flomax (tamulosin) are both used for the symptomatic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Please follow your doctor's advice before taking any medications when on treatment with Olyster|Does Olyster lower Prostate specific antigen (PSA)? : No, Olyster does not lower PSA.
