Description:
Pregnancy Interaction
- You should be careful when using Nodard Gel forms (gel, cream, or spray) when pregnant.
- Pregnancy category: Category C (first and second trimesters) – animal studies reveal that there may be a danger to the fetus, but the benefits may be greater than the risks in some situations.
- Third trimester: Not recommended—topical absorption, even if it's small, could still cause the fetal ductus arteriosus to close too soon.
- Breastfeeding: Small doses may be absorbed systemically and enter breast milk; avoid prolonged or high-dose application on large skin regions when breastfeeding.
- Always follow your doctor's advise when using this during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Q2: Is it safe to use Nodard Gel when pregnant?
Don't use it unless your doctor tells you to, especially in the latter three months of pregnancy.
Q3. Is it okay to use on skin that is injured or hurt?
No. Don't use it on skin that has cuts, open wounds, or eczema.
Q4. How long does it take to start working?
Most of the time, pain relief starts within 30 to 60 minutes of applying the cream, and the best benefit is seen in 2 to 3 hours.

- Unless you're treating your hands, wash your hands after each use.
- Don't use too much or mix it with oral NSAIDs without talking to a doctor first.

- Redness or mild inflammation of the skin
- Feeling itchy or burning
- Dryness or a rash at the point of application
- Not as common, but serious:
- Hives, an allergic rash, or edema
- Photosensitivity reaction (rash that looks like sunburn)
- Nausea or abdominal pain (from too much absorption) are rare systemic consequences.
- Stop taking it and see your doctor if you have severe skin irritation or allergic reactions.
How It Works
- Nodard Gel is an anti-inflammatory medication that doesn't include steroids.
- It works by stopping the cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes from making prostaglandins, which are chemicals that induce pain, swelling, and inflammation.
- It gives regional pain relief with little absorption into the body by lowering prostaglandin production at the site of application.
Medicine Interaction
- Tell your doctor if you are utilizing any of the following, even though systemic absorption is low:
- Other NSAIDs or painkillers, such ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin, can make things worse or cause an ulcer.
- Blood thinners (warfarin) may raise the risk of bleeding a little bit if they are absorbed.
- Corticosteroids raise the risk of stomach discomfort when taken with oral NSAIDs.
- Topical treatments that have alcohol or menthol in them may make skin irritation worse.
- Don't put more than one topical agent on the same spot at the same time.
How to Use
- Put a thin layer of Nodard Gel or lotion on the area that hurts.
- Do not rub too hard; just rub until it is absorbed.
- Wash your hands after using it, unless you're treating your hands.
- Use it two to four times a day or as your doctor says.
- Don't put tight bandages or wraps over the region.
- Do not wash or bathe the area right after applying.
