Uses / Indications:
This cream with three different ingredients is used to treat skin infections caused by both bacteria and fungi that cause inflammation. It is very beneficial for:
Ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch are all types of fungal diseases.
Bacterial skin diseases like impetigo or eczema that has become infected
Dermatitis and psoriasis complicated by secondary infection
Fungal infections that cause inflammation (itching, redness, and swelling)
Seborrheic dermatitis and skin creases that are infected (intertrigo)
Pregnancy interaction:
Pregnancy: Only use if your doctor tells you to. When used topically, Miconazole and Nadifloxacin don't get into the bloodstream very well. However, Mometasone (a steroid) should be taken with caution during pregnancy, especially over large areas or for lengthy periods of time.
If you are breastfeeding, don't put it on or near your nipple or breast. Apply only to small areas if you need to, and make sure that the baby's skin doesn't touch the regions that have been treated.
Expert advice:
Use only on regions that are sick or irritated, not on healthy skin.
Do not use for lengthy periods of time—using steroids for a long time can make skin thinner or trigger a rebound infection.
Do not put it on your face, genitals, or underarms unless your doctor tells you to.
If you don't feel better after 7 to 10 days, see your doctor.
Stay out of the sun on treated areas, as it may make the irritation worse.
Keep it out of reach of kids and in a cool, dry area below 25°C.
Side Effects:
Most side effects are modest and go away on their own. Some of the most common ones are:
Burning, stinging, or itching where you put it on
The skin may be red or dry.
A little discomfort or peeling
If you have serious or rare side effects, you should visit a doctor right away:
Skin thinning or stretch marks (because of steroids)
Infections that happen after the first one (such fungal or bacterial overgrowth)
Skin color change (becoming lighter or darker)
Too much hair growth at the spot (rare)
How to use:
Thoroughly clean and dry the area that is affected.
As your doctor says, put a thin, even coating of the cream on the affected region once or twice a day.
Gently rub in until it is gone.
Wash your hands before and after using it, unless you're treating your hands.
Do not put it on or near your eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.
Your doctor should tell you not to cover the area with bandages.
Only use the cream for the amount of time your doctor says to. Too much use can produce side effects.
How it works:
This cream has three strong active components, each with its own way of working:
Miconazole (2% w/w): An antifungal that kills fungus and yeast by messing with the structure of their cell membranes, which stops them from growing and spreading.
Nadifloxacin (1% w/w): A broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from making DNA by blocking the enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which kills the bacterium.
Mometasone (0.1% w/w) is a strong corticosteroid that lowers redness, itching, and swelling by lowering the body's immunological response.
They work together to guard against three things: fungi, bacteria, and inflammation. This gives you quick relief from pain caused by infections.
Faq for medicine:
1. What is this cream for?
It helps with skin infections that are caused by both bacteria and fungi, as well as irritation or inflammation.
2. Is it okay to use it on my face?
Only use with a doctor's supervision. Long-term use on the face can make the skin thinner and induce other negative effects that are connected to steroids.
3. Is it safe for pregnant women to use this cream?
Only if a doctor says so. To reduce steroid absorption, only use on small regions of skin for brief periods of time.
4. Is it safe for kids?
Only use in youngsters under the care of a doctor; their skin absorbs steroids faster, which raises the risk of negative effects.
5. Can I use moisturizer after I use it?
Yes, however you should wait at least 30 minutes after putting on this cream before doing anything else.
6. How long will it take to notice results?
Most people feel well in 3 to 5 days, but they should finish the whole course as prescribed to avoid getting sick again.
7. What should I do if I forget to take my medicine?
As soon as you remember, put it on, but skip it if it's almost time for the next dose. Don't apply twice.
8. Is it possible for it to make skin lighter?
Using Mometasone (a steroid) for a long time can make your skin lighter for a short time. Use just for the time that is suggested.
Medicine interaction:
This treatment works on the skin, thus drug interactions that affect the whole body are rare. However, you should be careful with:
Other topical antifungals, antibiotics, or corticosteroids used on the same spot
Strong immunosuppressants or oral steroids, as they can raise the risk of side effects
Products that contain alcohol, acids, or scents on the skin, which might make it worse
Always tell your doctor about any creams or medicines you are using.
