Pregnancy Interaction
- Moxoft Eye Drop: There isn't a lot of information about how it affects pregnant women. Animal studies indicate a potential harm at elevated systemic dosages; however, absorption via eye drops is negligible.
- Only use during pregnancy if an eye doctor says you need to and it's evident that you do.
- Minimal systemic absorption suggests a low risk during breastfeeding, but be careful and don't touch the baby directly.
- If you use it while pregnant or breastfeeding, squeeze the inner corner of your eye for one minute to block the flow of tears.

How It Works
- Moxoft Eye Drop is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from replicating, repairing, and living by blocking DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are enzymes that bacteria need to do these things.
- It kills germs directly, which means it doesn't only limit their growth.
- Works against a wide spectrum of germs that cause eye infections, such as Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Medicine Interaction
- Other topical antibiotics, like ciprofloxacin and tobramycin, should not be used at the same time as these without a doctor's advice.
- Ophthalmic corticosteroids can hide signs of infection, so only use them if your doctor tells you to.
- Contact lenses can soak up preservatives from eye drops, which might make your eyes hurt.
- Systemic fluoroquinolones: Taking both oral and topical versions at the same time may make side effects worse.
- Tell your doctor about all the eye drops or systemic antibiotics you are taking.
