• Get rid of excessive cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia)
• Lower triglycerides and bad cholesterol (LDL)
• Raise the level of healthy cholesterol (HDL)
• Lower the chance of having a heart attack, stroke, or other heart illness.
• When paired with diet and exercise, this can help keep cholesterol-related problems from happening.

 How It Works

• Atorvastatin, a statin drug, is in Liponorm.
• It works by:
• Stopping the liver from making the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme
• Lowering the amount of cholesterol made
• Getting rid of more LDL cholesterol from the blood stream
• This helps maintain blood arteries clear and is good for the heart.

 How to Use

• Take Liponorm 5 mg exactly as your doctor tells you to.
• Usually taken once a day, with or without food
• Take the tablet with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet.
• Every day, take it at the same time.
• Don't stop taking the medicine without talking to your doctor first.

 Side Effects

• Indigestion
• Having diarrhea or not having enough stool
• Tiredness

• Side Effects That Are Rare but Serious:
• Severe cramping or discomfort in the muscles
• Urine that is dark in color
• Liver disorders, including skin or eyes turning yellow
• Very bad allergic reactions
