Description:
Uses / Indications
- KETOSCORE CT Cream is intended to treat fungal skin infections that cause itching and inflammation, such as:
- Ringworm (Tinea corporis) with redness and itchiness
- Tinea pedis, or athlete's foot
- Tinea cruris, often known as jock itch
- Fungal infections that cause skin reactions that are reactive or inflammatory
- Mixed fungal infections that cause a lot of stinging, swelling, or redness
How It Works
- There are two active ingredients in KETOSCORE CT Cream:
- Ketoconazole:
- An antifungal that stops the production of ergosterol, which hurts the fungal cell membrane and kills the fungus.
- Clobetasol Propionate:
- A strong corticosteroid that lessens redness, swelling, itching, and inflammation.
- They work together to treat the fungal infection and quickly get rid of the symptoms that go with it.
How to Use
- Before putting it on, clean and dry the region that is affected.
- Follow your doctor's instructions and put a thin layer of lotion on the afflicted skin once or twice a day.
- Rub in gently until it is gone.
- After applying, wash your hands (unless you're treating your hands).
- Do not touch your eyes, lips, face, groin, or broken skin unless your doctor tells you to.
- Use for the smallest amount of time that is suggested; do not use too much.
Side Effects
- Some common side effects are:
- A burning or stinging feeling
- Itching or irritation at the point of application
- Skin that is red or dry
- With long-term or incorrect use (because of the steroid component):
- Thinning of the skin
- Marks of stretching
- Change in the hue of the skin
- Higher chance of getting a fungal infection again
- If you have serious irritation or an allergic response, stop using it and see a doctor.
Pregnancy Interaction
- Not a good idea to do while pregnant unless absolutely required.
- Clobetasol is a strong steroid, and using it for a long time while pregnant could be dangerous.
- Only use under close medical supervision and for a short time.
- Nursing:
- Be careful when using. Don't put it on your breasts before you feed.
Medicine Interaction
- Because it is a topical treatment, it is unlikely to interact with other drugs in the body.
- Don't use other antifungal or steroid creams on the same region unless your doctor tells you to.
- Tell your doctor about all the topical products you use.
Expert Advice
- Only for use outside.
- Do not use on your face, armpits, groin, or broken skin unless your doctor tells you to.
- Without a doctor's advise, don't use for long periods of time.
- Make sure the region that is hurt stays clean and dry.
- If your symptoms don't get better after 7 to 10 days, see a doctor.
- Put it in a cool, dry spot where kids and sunshine can't get to it.
