Jardiance 10mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
Pregnancy interaction:
Jardiance 10mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Jardiance is used together with other diabetes medicines to control blood sugar and avoids long-term complications. You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Jardiance. Jardiance also helps reduce weight and blood pressure. Jardiance may cause you to urinate more often, so make sure you stay hydrated. Can cause genital fungal and/or urinary tract infections (UTIs) in both females and males. Can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.

Nausea, Frequent urge to urinate, Increased thirst, Urinary tract infection, Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea, Genital fungal infection.
How to use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Jardiance 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Can I take Jardiance with insulin? : Yes, Jardiance can be used with insulin. However, it is may cause hypoglycemia (low blood glucose levels) when used with insulin or sulfonylurea group of anti-diabetics. So, a regular monitoring of blood sugar is important when they are used together.|Can Jardiance be given with metformin? : Yes, Jardiance can be taken with metformin. A combined use of the two medicines can significantly improve blood glucose levels and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and help in weight loss as compared to when either of the medicine is taken alone. No change in side effect profile has been reported compared to when they are used alone.|Can I stop taking Jardiance at once? : Do not stop taking the Jardiance at once. This can lead to a sudden increase in your blood glucose levels. Always follow the advice of your doctor for the dose and duration of your treatment. Never stop taking any medicine without consulting your doctor.|What effect does Jardiance have on patients with kidney disease? : Jardiance is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe renal impairment with eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) less than 60 mL/min/1.73m2. It may cause an increase in creatinine, phosphorus and parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels and can cause fall in blood pressure (hypotension). So inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease before taking this medicine.|Can I take Jardiance and glimepiride together? : Jardiance and sulfonylureas like glimepiride, gliclazide, glyburide or glibenclamide can be taken together as it can help in better control of blood sugar levels. Use of Jardiance can also help in lowering the risk of weight gain caused by sulfonylureas. However, the risk of low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia) can increase. Consult your doctor as a dose adjustment may be needed when they are used together.|Which is the difference between Jardiance and sitagliptin? : Both Jardiance and sitagliptin are anti-diabetic drugs, but they work in different ways. Jardiance is reported to be more effective in controlling blood sugar levels and also help in weight loss while sitagliptin is weight neutral. They also differ in their side effect profile as the use of sitagliptin is associated with nausea, nasopharyngitis, and pancreatitis while Jardiance commonly causes urinary and genital tract infections.|Is there any benefit of taking Jardiance and canagliflozin together? : No, it is not advisable to take Jardiance with canagliflozin. Both belong to the same class of anti-diabetic drugs and work in the same way. Together they may be more efficacious but there could also be an increased risk of side effects caused by them.|What effect does Jardiance have on weight? : According to some clinical studies, Jardiance along with well-balanced diet and exercise works effectively in lowering blood glucose levels and weight loss in type 2 diabetes patients. Jardiance works by removing glucose through urine, so, calories are lost resulting in weight loss.
