Description:
Pregnancy interaction
- Itraconazole can be absorbed via the skin, but it is not safe to use it systemically during pregnancy because it could cause birth defects.
- Ofloxacin and ornidazole are not very well absorbed through the skin, however fluoroquinolones are usually not used during pregnancy.
- Clobetasol is a very strong steroid, and pregnant women should not take it for lengthy periods of time or on big areas.
- Only use if absolutely necessary and only under the care of a doctor.
- Don't use it on big areas, broken skin, or for a long time.
FAQs for Medicine?
Q1. What is the purpose of ITROSTRED-OC Cream?
It is used to treat skin infections caused by a mix of fungi, bacteria, protozoa, and inflammation, especially when there is redness, itching, and inflammation along with a secondary infection.
Q2. Is it safe to use for a long time?
No. Long-term use can lead to skin thinning, steroid dependency, and rebound because it has clobetasol in it.
Q3. Can I put it on my face?
Do not use on the face, especially near the eyes, unless your doctor tells you to.
Q4. Can it be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding?
Not suggested unless a doctor says so. Don't put it on near your breasts while you're breastfeeding.
Q5. How fast does it work?
It takes 2–3 days for the symptoms to go away, but it takes the whole amount of time advised for the healing to be complete.
Q6. Is it okay to put a bandage over the area?
No. Occlusion raises the likelihood of side effects and steroid absorption.

How It Works
- Antifungal Itraconazole
- Stops the production of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, which kills fungus that cause ringworm, candidiasis, and other illnesses.
- Ofloxacin (an antibiotic)
- Fluoroquinolone that stops bacterial DNA gyrase from working kills both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
- Ornidazole (antiprotozoal and antibacterial)
- Damages the DNA of protozoa and anaerobic bacteria, which makes it useful for mixed or secondary infections.
- Clobetasol Propionate (a steroid)
- Strong anti-inflammatory drug that lessens redness, swelling, itching, and irritation.
- Action Together:
- This mix addresses inflammation and infection (fungal, bacterial, and protozoal) at the same time, giving you quick relief from itching and redness.
