How It Works
- Envas H is made up of two medicines:
- 1️⃣ Enalapril (ACE inhibitor)
- Stops angiotensin II from forming
- Loosens and opens up blood vessels
- Decreases blood pressure
- Lessens stress on the heart
- 2️⃣ Hydrochlorothiazide (water pill/diuretic)
- Removes extra salt and water from the body via making urine.
- Lessens too much fluid
- Lowers blood pressure even much
- When used together, they work better to manage blood pressure than either drug alone.
How to Use
- Take as your doctor says to.
- Usually taken once a day, in the morning if possible.
- You can take it with or without food.
- Take it all in with water.
- Every day at the same time,
- Don't quit suddenly without talking to a doctor.
- You need to check your blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes on a regular basis.

- Tell your doctor if you are taking:
- Other medications for high blood pressure
- Diuretics
- Supplements with potassium
- NSAIDs, such ibuprofen and diclofenac
- Lithium
- Angiotensin II receptor blockers (e.g., losartan)
- Aliskiren
- Medicines for diabetes
- Steroids
- These may raise the risk of:
- Low blood pressure
- Unbalanced electrolytes
- Problems with the kidneys
- A lot of potassium

- Check your kidneys and electrolytes every so often.
- Take in the morning to keep from having to pee at night.
- Unless your doctor tells you to, don't use salt substitutes that are high in potassium.
