Uses / Indications

• The Envas 2.5 mg Tablet is used to:
• Get rid of excessive blood pressure (hypertension)
• Take care of heart failure
• Make it more likely that people will live following a heart attack.
• Help some people with diabetes and high blood pressure keep their kidneys working.

 How it Works

• Envas has enalapril in it, which is an ACE inhibitor.
• It works by:
• Stopping the enzyme that makes angiotensin II, which is a chemical that makes blood arteries tighter.
• Making blood vessels relax and get bigger
• Lowering blood pressure and putting less stress on the heart

 How to Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions exactly when taking the tablet.
• You can take it with or without food.
• Take with water, and try to do it at the same time every day.
• Don't quit suddenly without talking to a doctor beforehand.
• The dose may need to be changed depending on how well the kidneys and blood pressure work.

Side Effects

• Most common side effects:
• Cough that won't go away
• Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
• Pain in the head
• Tiredness
• Less common yet dangerous adverse effects:
• Low blood pressure
• Too much potassium
• Changes in how the kidneys work
• Swelling of the cheeks, lips, and tongue (angioedema—emergency)
