Uses / Indications:
High blood pressure (hypertension)
Angina pectoris (chest pain caused by a lack of blood flow to the heart)
Because it works in two ways, it may be better for people who have high blood pressure and kidney disease, diabetes, or tachycardia.
Pregnancy interaction:
The safety of Ciladuo 10mg Tablet during pregnancy remains inadequately defined.
Studies on animals suggest no severe teratogenic consequences, however there isn't much data on humans.
You should only use it if you really need to and the advantages are greater than the risks.
If prescribed, it is best to keep a close eye on the mother's blood pressure and the baby's growth.
Not the first choice for pregnant women; labetalol, nifedipine, or methyldopa are usually better choices.
Expert advice:
Take the pill at the same time every day, and morning is best.
Don't quit suddenly; your blood pressure could go up quickly.
Limit how much alcohol you drink because it can make dizziness and low blood pressure worse.
Check your heart rate and blood pressure often.
If your ankles or feet swell, you feel dizzy all the time, or your heart beats quickly, tell your doctor.
Along with taking your medicine, eat a nutritious diet and live a healthy life.

You can take it with or without food and drink it with water.
Usually given once a day (10mg), however the dose may change based on how your blood pressure reacts.
For the same result every day, take it at the same time.
Do not chew or crush; swallow whole.
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but avoid it if it's close to the following dose.
How it works:
Cilnidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB).
It stops L-type calcium channels in blood vessels, which relaxes the arteries and lowers blood pressure.
It also stops N-type calcium channels in sympathetic neurons from working, which lowers the production of norepinephrine, slows the heart rate, and stops reflex tachycardia (unlike some other CCBs).
It lowers blood pressure and makes the heart work less hard overall.

Medicine interaction:
Other antihypertensives (beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, diuretics) can add to the effect of decreasing blood pressure.
Alcohol => raises the chance of feeling dizzy and having low blood pressure.
CYP3A4 inhibitors (such ketoconazole, erythromycin, and ritonavir) may raise the levels of cilnidipine.
CYP3A4 inducers (rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine) -> may make it less effective.
Grapefruit juice may raise blood levels, which could cause blood pressure to decrease too much.
