Pregnancy Interaction
- Pregnancy: Use this combination with care during pregnancy.
- During the second and third trimesters, ambroxol is thought to be rather safe. However, it should not be taken during the first trimester unless a doctor says so.
- Brozeet-LS Syrup should only be taken when absolutely necessary because it can induce minor increases in heart rate or relaxation of the uterus.
- Brozeet-LS Syrup is usually safe, but you should only use it under the care of a doctor.
- Before using this syrup while pregnant, you should always talk to a doctor.
- Breastfeeding: It's generally safe to use Ambroxol and Guaifenesin while breastfeeding, even though small amounts of them go into breast milk. Levosalbutamol could make babies a little grumpy, so only use it if your doctor says it's okay.
- Safer options: If you have a minor cough or stuffy nose, pregnant women should use steam inhalation, saline nebulization, and drink plenty of water.
Faq For Medicine
Q1. What is this drug good for?
It is used to treat a productive (wet) cough that comes with bronchitis, asthma, COPD, and infections of the respiratory system. It helps release mucus, open up airways, and make breathing easier.
Q2: Is it okay to use for a dry cough?
No. This drug is for a wet cough, which means it has mucus in it. Instead, a cough suppressant should be used (as directed) if the cough is dry or bothersome.
Q3.Is this drug safe for kids?
Yes, however the dose needs to be changed depending on how old the person is and how much they weigh. Always talk to a pediatrician before providing this syrup to kids.
Q4. How long does it take to work?
You might start to feel better in 2–3 days, but you will get the most benefit from using it as prescribed on a regular basis.
Q5: Is it okay to eat it?
Yes. Taking it after meals is ideal because it lowers the chance of tummy distress.
Expert Advice
- Before each usage, shake the bottle well.
- For best tolerance, take the syrup after meals.
- Drinking a lot of warm liquids might help release mucus naturally.

- Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, or thyroid problems.
- Do not take more than the indicated dose or for longer than the suggested time.

- Feeling sick or throwing up
- A little upset stomach
- Headache or dizziness
- Shaking or anxiety (because of Levosalbutamol)
- Heart rate goes up (palpitations)
- Irritation of the throat or mouth
- Side effects that are less prevalent or more serious:
- Allergic response (rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing)
- Bad shaking or an erratic heartbeat
- Low potassium levels can cause muscle weakness and tiredness.
- If you start to feel very dizzy, have chest pain, or have trouble breathing, get medical care right away.
How It Works
- This syrup is a mix of three drugs that are meant to cure a wet cough and other breathing problems that go along with it.
- Ambroxol (15 mg): A mucolytic drug that breaks down and thins mucus, which makes it easier to cough up.
- Levosalbutamol (0.5 mg) is a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways and makes the bronchial tubes wider. This makes breathing easier and improves airflow.
- Guaifenesin (50 mg): An expectorant that makes mucus flow more freely and helps get rid of thick phlegm in the lungs and throat.
- The effect of both:
- Makes mucus less thick
- Clears the chest
- Helps with wheezing and stuffy noses
- Makes it easier to breathe and lowers the number of times you cough.
Medicine Interaction
- Don't use with:
- Beta-blockers, such Propranolol and Atenolol, lower the bronchodilating effect of Levosalbutamol.
- MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants can make blood pressure go up dangerously high.
- Other bronchodilators or stimulants may make tremors or heart palpitations worse.
- Cough suppressants, like codeine and dextromethorphan, work against the activity that clears mucus.
- When taken with Levosalbutamol, diuretics or corticosteroids can raise the risk of low potassium levels.
- Make sure to tell your doctor about all the drugs and supplements you take.
How to use
- Adults: Usually 5–10 ml (1–2 tablespoons) three times a day, or as directed.
- Kids: The dose depends on their age and weight, so ask a doctor.
- Before each usage, shake the bottle well.
- Use a good measuring spoon or cup to take the syrup after meals, not a regular spoon.
- Do not take more than the recommended amount.
- Take your medicine as soon as you remember if you forget. If it's almost time for the next one, skip it. Don't take twice as much.
