Pregnancy Interaction
- Not safe during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, because of Telmisartan.
- Telmisartan can lead to:
- - not enough amniotic fluid
- - injury to the fetus's kidneys
- – cranium and developmental anomalies
- - limitation of fetal growth
- - fetal death (which is rare but very serious)
- Amlodipine is safer than other drugs, but you should still not take it without medical supervision.
- If you get pregnant, stop right once and tell your doctor.
- Not a good idea while breastfeeding.

How It Works
- Telmisartan (ARB):

Medicine Interaction
- Be careful when using with:
- ➤ Potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics

- Lower blood pressure regulation and put stress on the kidneys.
- ➤ Other blood pressure medicines
- Could make blood pressure drop too low.
- ➤ Lithium
- The risk of lithium poisoning goes up.
- ➤ Alcohol
- Makes dizziness and low blood pressure worse.
- ➤ Azole antifungals and clarithromycin are CYP3A4 inhibitors.
- Make the concentration of Amlodipine higher.
How to Use
- Take once a day, at the same time every day.
- You can take it with or without food.
- Take it all in with water.
- If a dose is missed:
- - Take right away if you remember
- – Skip if the next dosage is close by
- – DO NOT double the dose
- Keep going even if you feel OK; your blood pressure needs to be managed for a long time.
Uses / Indications
- High blood pressure (primary hypertension)
- Telmisartan or Amlodipine alone do not regulate BP.
